Family drama “Bhalobasar Golpo” has struck a chord with viewers, crossing 9.4 million views within just five days of its release.
Set against a warm family backdrop, the drama revolves around two close friends and their families, weaving together themes of love, joy, heartbreak and emotional conflict. The story unfolds through everyday relationships and gradually builds towards a compelling emotional climax.
Director Rafat Mozumder Rinku said the drama was designed to offer more than a conventional romantic story.
“Not only the hero and the heroine but also emotions, realities, and limitations of other characters are equally important in this drama. As the story progresses, it gradually becomes more complex while keeping viewers engaged until the very end. I wanted to tell the story in that way, and the audience response has been overwhelming,” he said.
Producer SK Shahed Ali Pappu expressed satisfaction with the audience’s response, particularly during the ongoing sports season.
“Despite being a 1:5-hour-long drama, “Bhalobasar Golpo” has managed to attract viewers during the World Cup Football season. The positive response has been truly encouraging and inspires us to continue producing quality content,” he said.
Written by Imraul Rafat and Avro Mahmud, the drama stars Yash Roshan and Tanjim Saiyara Totini in the lead roles. The cast also includes veteran performers Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Azizul Hakim, Deepa Khandaker, Mili Bashar, and several others.
Adding to the drama’s emotional appeal is the original song “Tomar Hote Chai”, written by Robiul Islam Jibon and performed by Dilshad Nahar Kona and Sajeeb Das.
