A seven-episode special drama serial titled “Red Card”, inspired by the excitement of the FIFA World Cup, stars Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan alongside actress Zeba Jannat. Directed by Tariq Muhammad Hasan, the first episode will air at 6:30pm Monday on Boishakhi TV.

The series also features Shawon Ashraf, Supta, Shahid Un Nabi, Md Ashikuzzaman, Senjuti Khandaker, Tanvir Hasan, Zara, Anwar, Liza Khanam, and many others.

According to director Tariq Muhammad Hasan, the story revolves around Zeba, a beautiful young woman who becomes the centre of attention in her neighbourhood after Bangladesh national team captain Jamal Bhuyan falls in love with her.

A passionate supporter of Argentina, Zeba shares a close friendship with Sabuj, a local Argentina fan. On the day Jamal plans to propose to her, Sabuj reveals a surprising secret: despite captaining Bangladesh’s national football team, Jamal is supporting Brazil in the World Cup. Shocked by the revelation, Zeba immediately rejects Jamal’s marriage proposal, symbolically showing him a “red card” because she refuses to marry a Brazil supporter.

Despite the rejection, Jamal remains deeply in love with Zeba, while Zeba stubbornly stands by her decision. Her dramatic refusal quickly becomes the talk of the neighbourhood, making her go viral once again. As the story unfolds, the series follows the humorous and entertaining twists in Jamal and Zeba’s unconventional romance, blending football rivalry with comedy and lighthearted drama.
