Army to get BTMC land for ordnance factory

The cabinet committee on economic affairs in a meeting on Wednesday agreed in principle to handover a piece of land of Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation in Chattogram to the Bangladesh Army for expansion of its ordnance factory.
Presided over by finance and planning minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, the meeting at secretariat approved a proposal from the ministry of industry to settle the issue, said a release by the finance ministry.
The amount of land has been calculated at around 55 acres.
