Pro-Saad Tabligh deny giving pledge to skip Ijtema after 2025

The Tabligh Jamaat faction claiming allegiance to Maulana Saad on Sunday claimed that they had not given any written undertaking to refrain from holding the Biswa Ijtema at the Tongi Ijtema ground after 2025.
They made the claim at a press conference at the Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the National Press Club, stating that reports about such an undertaking were being spread as part of a misinformation campaign.
Shafik Bin Naim, who read out the written statement, said two Nizamuddin followers had been assigned to take over the belongings at the Ijtema ground, but they had not given any undertaking to refrain from holding the Ijtema there from the following year.
He also accused followers of Zubair of spreading misinformation regarding the deaths during incidents at the Tongi Ijtema ground in 2018 and 2024.
‘The cases over the two incidents are still under investigation. Before the investigations are completed, they are holding meetings, rallies, and seminars and putting pressure on the government and investigating agencies by portraying followers of Maulana Saad as guilty,’ he said.
