Teachers should not participate in local govt polls: edn minister

Education and primary and mass education minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on Thursday said that if any teacher wanted to participate in the local government polls that teacher would have to resign at first.
At an event, held at Inter-Continental Hotel in the capital, he also said that the Election Commission should prepare a guideline in this regard.
‘A huge number of teachers participate in the local government polls nowadays,’ he said, urging teachers not to participate in the polls.
