Covid-19 claims life of Jhalakathi’s senior judicial magistrate

Sania Akter, Senior Judicial Magistrate of Jhalakathi, died from Covid-19 infection at a hospital in Barishal on Wednesday morning.
She breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital at 11:00am.
Supreme Court’s Special Officer Mohammad Saifur Rahman confirmed the information in a statement.
Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain expressed profound shock at her death.
In a condolence message, Mahmud Hossain prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved families, Saifur said in the statement.
