A police officer, who sustained injury in a road accident in Gulshan checkpost area of the capital on Tuesday (July 5), succumbed to his injuries at National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital while undergoing treatment on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Liton Mia.
Police seized the killer vehicle and arrested its driver.
Iftekharul Islam, addition deputy commissioner (ADC) of Dhaka Metropolitan police, confirmed the matter.
