Four students were injured in a crude bomb explosion near a women’s madrassa in Kalkini municipality of Madaripur on Saturday.
The explosion occurred in front of a residential house near Gopalpur Darussunnah Women’s Madrasa, said Arbindu Biswas, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Kalkini Police Station.
He said the bomb had been left abandoned on the staircase of a building near the madrassah.
The injured were identified as madrasa students Minha, 10; Jannat, 9; Maimuna, 9; and Abida, 8.
They were admitted to Kalkini Upazila Health Complex and Madaripur District Sadar Hospital for treatment, said police
