‘Drug peddler’ held with 40,000 Yaba pills in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 40,000 pieces of Yaba pills which he was carrying in a cattle-laden truck in capital’s Darussalam area on Friday evening.
The arrestee was identified as Yunus Hossain, 38, a resident of Cox’s Bazar.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of elite force stopped the truck around 6:30pm at Darussalam area and found the contraband items in a specially designed chamber in the vehicle, said Mozammel Haque, commanding officer of RAB-4.
