32 BNP men arrested in Dhaka for ‘conspiring against govt’

Police arrested 32 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, including a former councillor, at Mohakhali’s Sena Kalyan Sangstha Tower on Friday night.
Abul Kalam Azad, former ward councilor of no 20 ward of Banani unit BNP, was among the arrestees, said Md Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kafrul police station.
Police arrested them on charge of ‘hatching an anti-government conspiracy’, he said.
They were also accused in different criminal cases, he added.
