Truck, covered van owners and workers’ strike withdrawn

Bangladesh Truck-Covered Van Owners’ Association and Bangladesh Truck Driver Workers’ Federation have withdrawn their 72-hour nationwide strike.
The decision came after a meeting with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Wednesday.
The two organizations started the work abstention at 6am on Tuesday to press home their 15-point demand.
Goods transportation to and from Chittagong Port had come to a halt due to the strike.
