Veteran actors Dilara Zaman, Abul Hayat and Dolly Zahur have come together for the first time in a television drama titled “Dadi Voyonkar”, written and directed by Rahat Kabir.
Although the three celebrated artistes have long careers in television, film and theatre, they had never previously acted together in the same drama.
The shooting of Dadi Voyonkar was completed on Tuesday. The cast also includes Nader Chowdhury, Korvi Mizan, Arosh Khan and Urbi.
Speaking about the drama, director Rahat Kabir said the story revolves around the positive and negative impacts of the internet on society.
“The internet has both good and bad sides. People can use it for positive purposes as well as misuse it. The drama highlights both aspects while encouraging viewers to make constructive use of technology,” he said.
Rahat Kabir added that bringing the three legendary actors together in one production was a challenging task due to their busy schedules.
Abul Hayat expressed his satisfaction with the project, saying, “I truly enjoyed working in the drama. Producing a drama featuring several senior artistes is not an easy task. I appreciate Rahat Kabir for developing such a story and successfully bringing us together.”
All three actors are recipients of the prestigious Ekushey Padak and National Film Awards, making their first on-screen collaboration a notable event for television audiences.
“Dadi Voyonkar” is expected to be released soon on a YouTube channel.
