Ex-youth, sports adviser Asif Mahmud under ACC scanner

The Anti-Corruption Commission has approved an open inquiry against former youth and sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan over allegations of corruption and irregularities in the youth and sports ministry.
The approval was given at a commission meeting on Wednesday, an ACC official said.
The ACC has formed a four-member inquiry team headed by its deputy director Zahid Kalam to investigate the allegations.
The team will look into alleged corruption and irregularities in various activities and operations of the youth and sports ministry during Asif Mahmud’s tenure, ACC officials said.
