Unruly people vandalised seven buses at Baillachhari of Guimara upazila in Khagrachhari district on Monday night during the 48-hour hartal enforced by Bangladesh Nationalist Party, its allies in the ongoing movement and Jamaat.
Rajib Chandra Kar, officer-in-charge of Guimara Police Station, said that a group of miscreants vandalised Dhaka-bound seven buses of different transport companies, including Robi Express, Shyamoli Paribahan and Shanti Paribahan, at about 11:30pm.
A passenger was injured during the attack.
Panic gripped the passengers when the attack was carried out.
On information, police rushed to the spot.
However, no one was arrested as the miscreants managed to flee the scene.
