Roommate Mizan detained over Abrar murder case

Member of Detective Branch (DB) of Police on Thursday detained one more student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in connection with a case filed over the killing of Abrar Fahad.
Arrestee Mizan is the roommate of slain Abrar, who lived in room no-1011 of the Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university before he was brutally beaten to death allegedly by a group of Bangladesh Chhatra League men of its BUET unit.
Abrar, 21, a second year student of the BUET, was found dead on the staircase of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university early Monday.
Some BCL leaders beat him at room-2011 of the dormitory on Sunday night suspecting his link to Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.
