Deputy commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police NM Nasiruddin has been appointed as the new spokesperson of the metropolitan police.

An office order signed by the DMP acting commissioner Md Sarwar was issued on Saturday in this connection appointing Nasiruddin as the DMP deputy commissioner for media and public relations.

Prior to this, Nasiruddin served as deputy commissioner at the DMP’s transport division.

The order stated that the appointment would be effective immediately.

According to the same order, the DMP deputy commissioner Mohammad Ahaduzzaman Mia has been assigned as the new deputy commissioner of the transport division.

Earlier, the DMP deputy commissioner for media and public relations Muhammad Talebur Rahman was appointed as the deputy commissioner for the Lalbagh division on March 25.
