Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has demanded exemplary punishment for the perpetrator responsible for the brutal killing of child Ramisa Akter in the capital’s Pallabi.
In a Facebook post, the opposition leader wrote ”Dear little Ramisa, humanity is ashamed before you. You were innocent. You had not yet fully blossomed in life. You were an unfulfilled dream of a future filled with the passion and love of your parents and sister.”
He further added, ”Your departure was not a victory of evil desires. The perpetrator will forever remain condemned. We want to see justice for this brutal murder and the swift punishment of the offender.”
”May Allah grant patience to her parents, sister, and loved ones. Ameen.”
The brutal incident happened on Tuesday morning at a flat in Mirpur’s Pallabi. The killer Sohel, tenant of a neighbouring flat, fled the scene soon after the murder. Police, however, arrested him from Narayanganj in the evening.
Before that, Sohel’s wife Shampa was arrested from that house.
