At least four people were killed in a clash between two groups over establishing supremacy at village Barakula of Narail Sadar upazila on Monday morning.
The clash started at about 5:30am on Monday between Khalil Mollah and Khayer Mollah and their supporters, the police said.
The deceased are Khalil Mollah, 60, and his son Tahajjut, 35, Oasekh, 30, and Ferdous Sheikh, 40, all residents of the same village.
Narail sadar police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Oli Miah told New Age that three died on the spot and another died at Narail Sadar Hospital while undergoing treatment in a critical condition.
‘The clash took place over establishing dominance in the locality. There is no political involvement,’ the OC said.
He said that they were investigating the incident.
