Final voter list to be published on 31 August

The final voter list will be published on 31 August ahead of the upcoming general elections, Election Commission (EC) Senior Assistant Secretary Nasir Uddin said on Tuesday.
The draft list will be published on 10 August, and all the complaints will be settled by 21 August, he said.
The Election Commission had expected delays in the process to amend the Voters’ List Act. But as the amendments have already been finalised, officials are confident of publishing the final list by August-end, Nasir Uddin said.
As per the last update given by EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed, 44 lakh 66 thousand new voters will be added to the list.
