‘Drug peddler’ killed in ‘gunfight’ in capital

Shawdesh Desk: A suspected drug peddler was killed in a reported gunfight between drug peddlers and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Badda in the capital.
The deceased was identified as Rony Miah, 32, a drug peddler, RAB claimed.
The incident took place at Magardia Satarkul area in the early morning today.
RAB said arms, ammo and a large quantity of Yaba tablets have been recovered from the incident spot.
ASP Mizanur Rahman, senior assistant director of the media the wing of the RAB, confirmed it.
One RAB member was also injured during the gunfight.
