Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam tested positive for Covid-19.
Mahmud Ibn Qasem, Private Secretary of the Cabinet Secretary, made the disclosure on Monday.
The secretary is taking treatment from isolation at his residence in the capital, he said.
He further added that 63 employees of the cabinet department have been infected with the virus.
