Dengue claims life of youth in Rangpur

A young man died of dengue at Rangpur Medical College Hospital early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Mahtab Uddin, 24, of Biral upazila in Dinajpur.
Saiduzzaman, associate professor of medicine department of the hospital, said Mahtab was admitted to the hospital on August 18 and had been kept at the intensive care unit for several days.
He was shifted to the general ward recently following improvement of his condition. However, he died there around 1:00am on Tuesday.
Currently, 34 dengue patients are being treated at the hospital, Saiduzzaman said.
