Jashore ‘robber’ killed in ‘gunfight’

A suspected robber was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with the police in Begaritala area on Friday.
The deceased was Nurul Haque Keru, from Bhojgati village under Monirampur upazila in Jashore.
Jasim Uddin, officer in-charge of Monirampur police station, said that police raided the area along with Nurul Haque, arrested on charge of lifting an easy bike, to recover arms.
He died during the gunfight between the police and his cohorts that took place around 3:00am, the OC said adding that Nurul was wanted in 13 cases including 10 robberies.
