Three drug dealers with 269 bottles of Wincarex and 744 bottles of Scaf syrup were arrested by the Rab-6 elite force during two separate drives in Sharsha upazila of Jashore. They were detained on Monday July 20.
Rab-6 conducted the first operation in Gobinathpur Bottola area under Sharsha police station. Two drug peddlers were held in this drive with 269 bottles of Wincarex and 30 bottles of Scaf syrup.
Arrested were identified as Md Bashir, son of Md Kamal Hossain, and Minhaj, son of Md Sanaullah. Both are residents of Bottola village in Sharsha upazila.
In the second drive, the elite force raided the Tengrali Boundarypara area in the same upazila and arrested another drug peddler along with 744 bottles of Scaf syrup.
The arrestee was identified as Abu Bakkar, son of Md Hossain Ali, hailing from Tengralipara village in Sharsha.
The seized contraband items were inventoried on the spot in the presence of witnesses.
Cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed against the arrestees with Sharsha Police Station. The arrested individuals and seized evidence were handed over to the police station for further legal proceedings.
