Shawdesh Desk: BNP’s Dhaka South City Corporation mayoral candidate Israque Hossain has said that he will try his best to prevent any kind of irregularity centring the city election.
Ishraque, who is a first-time voter, made the remark after casting his vote at Shaheed Shahjahan Government Primary School on Ramkrishna Mission Road in the city’s Gopibagh area around 9am.
He also alleged that the party’s polling agents were barred from entering polling stations.
“We have received reports from multiple areas that our polling agents are not being allowed inside and we have already informed magistrates about this,” he told reporters during a briefing.
