Warehouse catches fire in Gazipur

A fire broke out at a cotton warehouse of NR Textile Mill in Porabari area in Gazipur on Saturday morning.
Locals and workers said the fire broke out at 6:30am just after they had arrived there.
Mamunur Rashid, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, said two firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of frantic efforts.
The fire might have originated from an electric short-circuit, he added.
