‘Top terror’ Sweden Aslam freed from jail on bail

A much-talked about ‘top terror’ in the 90’s, Sheikh Md Aslam alias Sweden Aslam, was freed from Kashimpur High Security Jail in Gazipur Tuesday evening.
Confirming the matter to New Age on Wednesday morning, the jail’s senior superintendent said that Sweden Aslam was freed from the jail.
‘We received the papers regarding his bail on Tuesday afternoon. We freed him in the evening after scrutinising the papers,’ he added.
At least 12 cases were filed against Sweden Aslam with different police stations in the capital on charges of murder, extortion and carrying illegal arms.
Earlier, 11 cases were setteled in previous times. He was in the jail in one case.
