Popular small-screen actress Tania Brishty is preparing to return to shooting after nine months due to health complications.
Tania was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February this year and underwent surgery to remove it that month. She travelled to Chennai, India, on 9 March for further treatment and underwent another surgery there. She returned to Bangladesh in the first week of April and has since been focusing on treatment and recovery.
During a Facebook Live session on Saturday, Tania said her physical condition has improved considerably compared to earlier. However, she is continuing her treatment.
Responding to a viewer’s question, the actress said she is currently undergoing chemotherapy. She said she has completed three months of the treatment and is now in the fourth month. After completing another two months, she will undergo several tests, following which her doctors will decide on the next course of treatment.
Despite continuing to recover, Tania expressed her desire to resume acting this month. “I want to start shooting from this month. Discussions are underway. I will definitely let everyone know once I begin shooting,” she said.
Tania also thanked her fans for their love, prayers and continued support during her illness. She said she wants to return to work for those who have been waiting to see her on screen again.
