Popular singer Tahsan Khan has recently announced that he is saying goodbye to music. His decision left fans both surprised and emotional. The artiste hinted that he may officially leave the world of music in the coming days and has now opened up about the reasons behind his decision.
On Sunday, Tahsan attended a technology-based event in the capital as the brand ambassador of the organising company. During the event, he performed a few songs for the organisers and guests, prompting fans to wonder if this might be his final live performance.
When the presenter asked him about the matter, Tahsan addressed the speculation directly.
Answering the question of leaving music, Tahsan replied thoughtfully, “I’m not sure if this is the right platform to talk about this because people often take bits and pieces of what I say on stage and turn them into different stories. So I have to be careful. But I’ll share one thing, many years ago, my brother told me that the time frame for musicians in this industry is very limited. He asked me why I was taking that risk when I left my job at a multinational company to work on my first album.”
Reflecting on that advice, Tahsan continued, “My brother said an artiste’s time frame is short — but the art they create can last forever. That inspired me to focus on creating work that endures, even after I retire.”
Explaining further, Tahsan said, “I want to work only as long as I’m at the peak of people’s love, as long as I still receive that affection. Because I’ve seen in other careers that people retire gracefully. But in this one, people eventually forget. I would rather leave while I still have people’s love, than stay until I feel the pain of being forgotten.”
