The government has appointed new deputy commissioners in six districts, according to a notification issued Monday.
Public Administration Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam signed the notification, which claims that new administrative chiefs have been appointed in Patuakhali, Kushtia, Kurigram, Meherpur, Netrokona and Khulna.

As per the notification, Environment and Climate Change Ministry’s Deputy Secretary Dr Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury will be the new DC in Patuakhali, while Patuakhali’s DC Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin has been transferred to similar post in Kushtia.
Meherpur DC Sifat Mehnaz has been transferred to Kurigram, Home Affairs Deputy Secretary Dr Mohammad Abdul Salam has been appointed as DC in Meherpur, Deputy Secretary Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman has been appointed as DC in Netrokona and Kushtia DC Md Towfiqur Rahman has been transferred to Khulna.
