Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Jashore on April 27.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan informed the matter on Monday night (April 6).
Khulna Division BNP Organising Secretary and Deputy Minister for Power and Energy Anindya Islam Amit confirmed the schedule, he added.
According to sources, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the re-excavation work of the Ulashi-Jadunathpur canal in Sharsha upazila, Jashore, as part of his nationwide canal excavation programme, a commitment from his election manifesto.
