The transmission of coronavirus or COVID-19 is gradually increasing in the capital. As per the latest information, a total of 14, 348 people have been infected with COVID-19 in Dhaka till date.

Most of the COVID-19 patients are now in Mirpur and adjacent areas. But there are coronavirus patients in almost all areas in the city.

The information was learnt after analysing the report of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Wednesday, says a media report.

The hotspots in terms of coronavirus infection are: Mirpur, Bongshal, Dhanmondi, Chawkbazar, Gendaria, Gulshan, Hazaribagh, Shahbagh, Jatrabari, Lalbagh, Mitford, Mohammadpur, Razarbagh, Shakhari Bazar, Tejgaon, Uttara and Wari in the capital.
