The minister of education and primary and mass education ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on Thursday said that from next Saturday online and offline classes would be held at some of the renowned educational institutions in Dhaka Metropolitan city.
From now on in classes at these institutions will be held on six days instead of five days a week.
The minister said that the online classes would be held on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday while in-person or offline classes would be held on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday.
No classes will be held on Fridays.
Some schools including — Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, and Dhaka Residential Model College agreed to start online classes.
The minister said that they were not forcing any schools to start online classes.
‘The schools which can afford to conduct online classes will start online classes,’ he added while briefing the journalists at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital.
