The services of metro rail will remain closed on the Eid day, said officials of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited.
Bangladesh will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, one of the biggest religious festivals of Muslims, across the country, on Saturday.
As per an office order issued on Wednesday by the DMTCL, the implementing agency of the services, the metro rail services will remain closed on the eid day.
It also read that on June 8 the metro rail services will start at 8:00am and the trains will run in every 30 minutes.
Usually the trains start running from 7:10am.
From June 9 the metro trains will run as per the schedules of the weekly holidays.
On weekly holidays the metro trains start running from 7:10am and the trains run in every 12 minutes and 10 minutes in off-peak and peak hours respectively.
