President Mohammed Shahabuddin appointed Supreme Court senior lawyer Md Asaduzzaman as the new attorney general of Bangladesh on Thursday.
‘The president in line with article 64 (1) of the constitution appointed senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court Md Asaduzzaman as the attorney general of Bangladesh until further notice,’ a gazette notification signed by Law and Justice Division secretary Md Golam Sarwar said.
Former attorney general AM Amin Uddin resigned on Wednesday from his post, citing personal difficulties.
