The followers of Jatiya Party chief patron and leader of the opposition Raushan Ershad had postponed their pre-scheduled 10th national conference in Dhaka of the party for an indefinite time.

A press release signed by the conference preparatory committee member secretary Golam Moshi on Sunday said that the decision was taken at a meeting of the conference preparatory committee at its Gulshan office.

Jatiya Party chief patron Raushan Ershad, now under treatment in a Bangkok hospital, convened the 10th national conference of the party a month ago from there.

Jatiya Party chairman Gulam Muhammad Quader said that the chief patron of the party Raushan Ershad had no right to convene a national conference of the party.
