Heroin worth Tk 5cr recovered in abandoned state in Rajshahi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered five kilograms of heroin, worth around Tk 5 crore, in an abandoned condition in Godagari of Rajshahi district on Tuesday night.
A press release of RAB issued on Wednesday morning mentioned that acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj Highway in Barogachhi village of Matikata union of the Godagari upazila around 1:30 am and recovered the contraband heroin in abandoned state.
A case was filed with Godagari Police Station in this connection and the seized drugs were handed over to the police, it added.
