The High Court on Thursday granted bail to former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Salina Hayat Ivy in five more cases filed over the killings and injuries of protesters during the July 2024 mass uprising.
The bench of KM Zahid Sarwar and Sheikh Abu Taher passed the order.
Of the five cases, four involve murder charges, and one relates to injury caused by shooting during the 2024 uprising.
Ivy was not named as an accused in these cases.
Her lawyer, SM Siddiqur Rahman, told New Age that she cannot be released yet, as her earlier bail in five other cases was stayed by the Appellate Division on November 9, 2025.
Senior lawyer Sara Hossain appeared for Ivy.
