Govt to start vaccination with Pfizer jab Monday

The government will start administering Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine at three vaccination centres in the capital from Monday.
The three designated vaccination centres are Kurmitola General Hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), and Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital.
A consignment of 106,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine reached Dhaka on on June 1. The government received the vaccine under the global vaccine-sharing initiative COVAX.
The Directorate General of Drug Administration had approved the emergency use of the Pfizer vaccine on May 27.
