Govt appoints new DCs in 11 districts

The Bangladesh government has appointed new deputy commissioners in 11 districts across the country.

The Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday issued a gazette notification in this regard, stating that the appointments would come into effect immediately.

 

According to the notification, Kazi Shahidul Islam, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been appointed as DC of Rajshahi, while Lutfur Nahar, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been posted to Chuadanga.

Hure-e Jannat, deputy secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, has been appointed as DC of Khulna, and Md Abu Sayeed, deputy director (deputy secretary) of Bangladesh Government Press, has been made DC of Brahmanbaria.

Ahmed Ziaur Rahman, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, has been posted as DC of Chandpur, while GM Sarafraj, deputy secretary of the Cabinet Division, has been appointed in Habiganj.

Israt Jahan Keya, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has been made DC of Narsingdi, and Shilpi Rani Roy, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, has been posted in Meherpur.

Md Rashedul Haque Prodhan, deputy secretary of the Bangladesh Power Development Board, has been appointed as DC of Lalmonirhat, while Md Saniul Ferdous, deputy secretary, has been posted as DC of Bandarban.
