Gazipur jhut godown catches fire

A fire broke out at a jhut (scrap fabrics from garment factories) godown in pubail of Gazipur city on Sunday afternoon.
The fire originated at the warehouse at1:30pm, said Iqbal Hasan, deputy director of Tongi Fire Service and Civil Defence.
On information, three fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and trying to bring the fire under control, he said.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, he added.
