A Dhaka court on Thursday deferred the charge framing hearing in a flat fraud case involving Tulip Rizwana Siddique and former RAJUK assistant legal adviser Sardar Mosharraf Hossain until May 6.
Judge Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun of Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 set the new date following a hearing.
On February 18, the court took cognizance of the chargesheet and issued arrest warrants against the accused. Later, on February 26, the court approved a request by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) investigator AKM Mortuza Ali Sagar to issue an Interpol red notice for Tulip’s arrest.
According to the case statement, the accused allegedly abused their power to unlawfully acquire a flat owned by Eastern Housing Limited in Gulshan-2 without payment and later registered it in their names.
