Bangladesh’s combat sports landscape is poised for a major moment as Zulcan Fighting Championship (ZFC) stages its inaugural mega event, ZFC 1 – The Takeover, on 18 April at the Zulcan Indoor Arena in Bashundhara Sports City.
The headline attraction of the evening will be four World Muay Thai Organisation (WMO) titles contested on a single card, alongside a prestigious World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia belt.
In addition, a ZFC Championship title will be up for grabs, making the event one of the most ambitious fight nights ever staged in the country. The organisers aim to showcase top local fighters alongside international contenders, signalling Bangladesh’s growing presence in the global combat sports arena.
The event will be broadcast live nationwide on T Sports, while international viewers will be able to watch via TrillerTV Pay-Per-View. Promoted by Asia-based combat sports entrepreneur Arvind Lalwani, ZFC 1 is being presented as a significant milestone for the sport in Bangladesh.
“This event is about legacy,” Lalwani said. “ZFC 1 is not just a show — it is the beginning of a new era. Bangladesh has world-class talent, and on 18 April, the world will see it.”
Organisers believe the multi-title card will help elevate Bangladesh’s status on the international fight stage, combining championship stakes with a high-profile production designed to attract both domestic and global audiences.
With five international titles on the line and a platform reaching beyond national borders, ZFC 1 – The Takeover promises a defining night for the country’s combat sports ambitions.
