Election Commission on Thursday confirmed that the European Union convened a message to the chief election commissioner informing him that it would not send a full-fledged observer team to observe the next general elections in Bangladesh.
‘Due to the budget crisis, the European Union is not sending a full-fledged observer team to the next parliamentary elections. The alliance has sent a letter in this regard to the chief election commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal,’ EC secretary Md Jahangir Alam told reporters at his office.
