DNCC mayor Atiq, wife test positive for Covid-19

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor Atiqul Islam and his wife Dr Shayla Shagufta Islam tested positive for COVID-19.
Rishad Morshed, the mayor’s assistant personal secretary, also found infected with the virus.
The mayor and his wife gave their sample on Sunday after showing their corona symptoms and the results came back positive for the virus later in the same day.
The mayor Atiqul and his wife are taking treatment from isolation at their residence in the capital.
The mayor requested city men to pray for their quick recovery.
The public relations branch of the city corporation, confirmed the matter to media this morning.
