BNP’s Election Steering Committee Spokesperson Mahdi Amin has said that propaganda is being carried out against the BNP.
He said that a highly influential leader of a political party has made a claim about an agreement between BNP and India and cited a media report.
“Naturally, he could not present any evidence in support of his claim, nor will he be able to do so. Because the information he claims was published in the media has no minimum basis in reality or truth,” Mahdi Amin said.
He made these remarks on Saturday morning while responding to journalists’ questions at a press conference held at the election office on Road No. 90 in Gulshan.
Mahdi Amin said this was a political ploy aimed at creating controversy. “And if he was given incorrect information or if this was done to spread confusion, then it reflects his ignorance. Whether it is a ploy or ignorance, we believe that everything being said about an agreement between the BNP and India is nothing but propaganda.”
