A court in Dhaka on Tuesday issued an order to attach a flat in the capital’s Gulshan belonging to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s daughter Saima Wazed Putul. The court also order to appoint a receiver to look after the property. The order was issued by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib, granting an appeal of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The price of the flat is around Tk 57 lakh. The anti-graft body in its plea said the accused has attempted to sell or change the ownership of the assets, and if she succeeds in doing so, the investigation will be hampered. For thorough probe into the graft case, the ACC requested the court to attach the property and appoint a receiver to look after it.
