Bangladesh govt appoints Manjur Morshed as home secy

The Bangladesh government has appointed retired secretary Manjur Morshed as senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs on a contractual basis for one year.
The appointment was announced in a notification issued on Tuesday, signed by Deputy Secretary Md Golam Rabbani of the Ministry of Public Administration.
According to the notification, the appointment has been made under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018.
The order states that he will be allowed to assume office subject to relinquishing any existing professional, business or employment ties with any government, semi-government or private institution or organisation.
