Bangladesh army lieutenant stabbed to death during joint drives

Bangladesh army lieutenant Tanjim Sarwar was stabbed to death during a joint drives in Purba Maijpara area of Dulahazara union under Chokoria upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on early Tuesday.

Robbers stabbed Tanjim in his neck when seven to eight members army launched an operation in the area on secret information at about 4:00am, said an Inter-Services Public Relations press release.

 

ISPR said that he was taken to the Memorial Christian Hospital in Cox’s Bazar in a critical condition where duty doctors declared him dead.

Tanjim Sarwar joined the army forces on June 8, 2022, under 82 Bangladesh Military Academy long course.

Bangladesh Army said that they also detained three robbers along with one local rifle and six rounds of bullets.

Army also detained three people suspecting them as robbers at the spot.
