Minor child’s body recovered from madrassah washroom in Dhaka

A 10-year old madrassah student was found dead in a washroom of a local madrassah in Banasree area of the capital on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Md Abdullah, son of Abul Kalam Azad of village Anupnagar in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district.
Saiful Islam, sub-inspector of Rampura Police Station, said being informed by local people, police recovered the hanging body of Abdullah from the washroom of the 2nd floor of Alokito Quran International Hifz Madrassah in the morning.
‘We suspect that he was sexually assaulted,’ the SI said.
The exact cause of death will be known after receiving the post-mortem report, he added.
